This site is designed to introduce OER initiatives, explain creative commons licensing and OER, and to help you get started searching for Open Educational Resources for teaching and learning.

OpenCourseWare Resources

The OpenCourseWare (OCW) Movement began in the United States with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2002.  This movement is university driven, and is focused on making the educational course materials that have been created by faculty available outside of the institution. The materials available vary by course, professor and even semester posed.


This list is not completely and will be updated continually. 

History of OpenCourseWare

MIT OpenCourseWare is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to publish all of the educational materials from its undergraduate- and graduate-level courses online, freely and openly available to anyone, anywhere.

 

As of May 2018, over 2,400 courses were available online.
