Faculty Toolkit: Scanning

The Library's large-format KIC scanner is free to use! You can save items to PDF, TIFF, JPG, and PNG formats. Transfer to a flash drive or send via email. Files can also be uploaded to mobile devices, Google Drive, or a QR Code.

The scanner is located on the 2nd floor of the Library against the main stairs. If you need assistance, library staff at the Ask Here Desk are happy to help.

Scanning for Your Class

If you are scanning items for a D2L course, we highly recommending saving files in searchable PDF format. This means that written character are recognized as text, making the file more accessible for students using screen readers.

You can access this option when you are finished scanning by selecting More instead of Email PDF.
