Children's Literature: Historical Fiction

Historical Fiction

In historical fiction, the past comes alive.  It is not just historical events in time but the famous and the unknown person that is brought to life for the reader to experience.

The reader should come away with an understanding of the  event, person, or even the time period portrayed by the author.
